Daniele Spizzichino has been graduated at the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1999. He got the PhD on Earth system sciences: environment, resources and cultural heritage at Modena and Reggio Emilia University in 2012. He is an engineer with a wide experience in
New ICT applied in different sectors of civil and environmental domains. Since 2000 his work has been focuses on: natural hazard risk assessment; conservation plan for Cultural Heritage; monitoring system design (e.g. remote sensing, GPS network); executive design of mitigation works for protection and conservation of Cultural Heritage. In the last 15 years, as Geotechnical Engineer, he was extensively supporting national and international Agency and Institute for the protection and conservation of Cultural Heritage (e.g. ISCR, UNESCO), in many international project in Peru, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Chile, Georgia, Jordan, Nepal and others. Author and co-author of more than 100 publications and books. He has published several articles in scientific journal, papers and conference proceedings. He is a member of several associations (AGI, IAEG). He is currently employed – as researcher - at ISPRA, Geological Survey of Italy.
